Sonic 3: The Inky Groove

Overview

Sonic 3: The Inky Groove is a project which serves to replace all of the soundtrack with fully original compositions in an all new style. Serving as a collaboration between Inkwright and Gemini, they hope to bring out a sense of catchiness, variety, and resonance through each track produced, serving as quality over quantity in order to make each track for each level and scenario more fun than the last. All of the tracks will be put together into a Sonic 3 AIR mod for you all to jam to as you play. Gotta go fast with those tunes, eh??

Current features (as of 0.5)

• Currently, all 14 main zones have their music tracks replaced with demos of fully original compositions by Inky and Gemini.
• Currently, the first 6 zones and some jingles have been reworked into YM2612 chiptunes by Zane and Soup.
• All boss themes and main jingles have also been given original music.
• Certain events, such as the Angel Island airship bombing and the Big Arm boss fight, have been given unique themes from the rest of the game.
• Two original vocal tracks sung by Inky are featured in the game!
• Refined renditions of the Nov. 1993 prototype tracks done by Bouncy Glow's Music Room are featured as alternate options for the soundtrack!

What to expect in the future

• The 5 competition mode tracks.
• Genesis transcriptions for all of the tracks.
